To pay by credit card, take two quick steps: open the payment terms below and read them, then check the box to agree. We also take payments by mail. See below for details.
Please read before paying: 90-day holds apply to releases & refund disputes
- Final payment: a 90-day hold applies before we clear your file; then we file your releases (and dismiss a garnishment, if you have one).
- Down payment: you get a Conditional Release for your license after 90 days, or sooner if you pay in person by cash, money order, or certified funds.
- Refunds & chargebacks: if a payment is later refunded or disputed, we add the bank’s or processor’s fees back to your balance.
- Posting: we post payments to your account within 2 business days.

If you are making a final payment, please note there is a 90-day hold before we clear your file. After the hold, we issue a Satisfaction of Judgment to let the court know that the judgment has been paid; a General Release for the Department of Driver's Services (if your license was ever suspended); and a cancellation of the FIFA - the lien on any real property that you own. If you are paying through a Garnishment, we will file a Dismissal of the Garnishment with the Court as well.
If you are making a down payment, we wait 90 days before issuing a Conditional Release for your driver's license (a temporary release granted while you keep up with your payments). If you need that release sooner than 90 days, consider making an appointment to pay in person by cash, money order, or certified funds.
If your payment is later refunded or disputed, we add back any fees the bank or payment processor charges us. This includes fees from the institution that issued the payment, the institution processing it, or any institution associated with our firm. If we don't add these fees right away, we still have the right to add them later.
For posting, once a payment is processed we post the file number and amount to your account within 2 business days. If you don't see it reflected after that, call our office and we'll confirm receipt.

Security
All payments, one-time and recurring, go through a secure encrypted link. We never store your card number. Only your file number and the payment amount post to your account, within 2 business days.

What we keep
When you pay by card, we retain only your file number and payment amount.
What we don't keep
Your card number never touches our server. Our payment processor (Stripe) receives it directly and we get back a confirmation token, not the number itself. We cannot see or store your full card details.
How your information is used
We post only the file number and amount to your account. We do not share your information with anyone outside of what's needed to process your payment.
